Sebastián Wain

Co-founder & CEO

Sebastian is a security expert, investor and entrepreneur with +35 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Prior to CoinFabrik, he co-founded Nektra in 2003, specializing in security products and services. His career includes key roles as a security consultant at Core Security Technologies and AFIP. Sebastian teaches at prestigious institutions, like the University of Buenos Aires, University of San Andrés, and Di Tella University.

Sergio is a pioneering security and cryptocurrency researcher, co-founding several successful companies, like CoinFabrik, Coinspect, Fairgate, and Rootstock. His work led to major advancements in the privacy, scalability, and interoperability aspects of blockchain tech. As an early contributor, he has played a crucial role in strengthening the security of both Bitcoin and Ethereum, discovering critical vulnerabilities in their protocols.
