Token Generation Event

A Token Generation Event (TGE), also known as an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), is a fundraising event where a new cryptocurrency project sells part of its cryptocurrency tokens to early adopters and enthusiasts in exchange for funding. This event typically marks the first time the public can purchase the tokens, which might be used to access a specific network, use its services, or simply as a form of investment. TGEs are crucial for raising capital for development and marketing of the project, but they also raise regulatory concerns and risks for investors, including the potential for scams and lack of regulatory oversight.
